The rules of Horseshoe Lake Farm Campground have been designed for your safety and comfort. Please read and obey all rules and posted signs. This property is privately owned. The camper accepts camping privileges with the understanding that he/she does hereby release the campground and employees of all liability for loss or damage to property, and injury to his/her person arising out of his/her use of its facilities. Furthermore, he/she agrees to indemnify the campground and its officers and employees, against claims resulting from loss or damage to property, or injury to persons of any member of the family or guest of the registered camper arising out of the use of its facilities.
The following rules are intended to provide an enjoyable family camping experience for you and your neighbors. Parents are expected to inform their children of these rules and are responsible for their supervision. Violation of these rules could mean early departure without a refund.

REGISTRATION:
All members, campers, visitors, guests and pets must be registered at the office upon arrival and prior to entering or utilizing the farm's amenities.
Members are allowed to have a guest with them twice (2x) before they are required to become a member.
All fees must be paid in advance.
Registered campers are responsible for ensuring their visitors have properly registered in the office, and that all campground rules are followed.
We allow only one RV and no more than two camping units per site. You may have an RV and tent on a site, a pop-up and a tent, or two tents maximum per site.
There can be no more than 8 people (maximum of 4 adults) registered to one site at any given time.
All balances due will be charged to credit card on file at 8:00PM on reserved date of arrival.
If paying with cash, a $50 cash deposit is required and will be refunded upon departure if no trash, damages, or pet waste is evident.
Early arrival and late checkout fee is $5.00 per hour if site is available.
Cabins are left unlocked for you at check-in time. If, for any reason, you need to have a key to keep on your person during your stay, a $20 cash key deposit is required.
REFUNDS:
All registration, rents, registration, membership, event, and/or activity fees are non-refundable.
If you have purchased a day-pass for fishing or swimming and the beach and/or lake close for more than four hours on any given day due to inclement weather, you may request a free pass to return another day.
In the rare event that an evacuation (either voluntary or mandatory) is called for this area by the State of South Carolina, you may request a gift certificate good for the unused portion of your trip on a later date.
VEHICLES (motorized and non-motorized):
The speed limit in the campground is 5 mph… if it feels ridiculously slow you are doing it right.
ONE car only per campsite. Extra vehicles are $5.00 each per night.
ALL VEHICLES MUST HAVE A PARKING TAG.
4-wheelers, ATV’s, mopeds, golf carts and similar motorized or battery operated vehicles are not allowed anywhere in the park except by staff in the carrying out of their duties.
Bicycles are permitted, but not on the beach area, NO riding after dark.
HOUSEKEEPING:
Please leave your campsite or cabin as clean or cleaner than you found it.
Please bag your garbage and use the can nearest to your site.
Only household generated garbage should be placed in the cans.
Promptly clean up all pet waste.
Do not burn garbage or household waste.
PETS:
Horseshoe Lake Farm is pet-friendly, but owners will be totally responsible for their pets at all times.
Pets cannot be left unattended at any time, and must be on a leash when not inside your RV.
You may not leave your pet inside your RV or cabin if you leave the campground.
All pet litter must be cleaned up immediately, and those not in compliance will be asked to leave the park and may be charged a cleanup fee.
Noisy pets will not be allowed to stay, and only one warning will be issued prior to request to remove pet from park.
WE DO NOT ALLOW pets in the bathhouse, playground and beach areas, or in our rental units.
Please provide proof of vaccination and appropriate licensing at check-in.
Please call in advance for specific breed restrictions (Absolutely NO Pit bull’s, Bandog’s, Neapolitan Mastiff’s, Wolfdog’s, Boerboel’s, Dogo Argentino’s, Presa Canario’s, Fila Brasiliero’s, American Pit Bull Terrier’s, Doberman Pinscher’s, or Rottweiler’s).
You are totally liable for your pet should there be any claim.
No guest pets allowed in with visitors.
ABSOLUTELY NO:
FISHING FROM THE BEACH AREA – fishing from the beach area creates a swimming hazard for our guests. Please do not fish from the beach/swimming area.
Washing of cars or campers.
Hunting or trapping of animals.
Cutting through other campsites.
Cutting, breaking, or trimming of trees or shrubs by any means. No Chainsaws.
ABSOLUTELY NO BURNING OF GARBAGE OF ANY KIND.
Dumping of garbage or leaves in lake.
Firearms, bows, fireworks or explosives of any kind.
Washing of dishes or clothing in restrooms.
Minors swimming, boating, canoeing, or kayaking unaccompanied by a registered adult age 18 or over.
Burning of trash or garbage of any nature.
DO NOT BLOCK THE CAMPGROUND ROADWAY - YOUR VEHICLES WILL BE TOWED!
QUIET HOURS:
Strictly enforced, 10:00 p.m. to 6 am. Please respect all neighbors.
All minors must be at their own site at quiet hours. Please ensure your children remain at your site.
NO NOISE EMITTING EQUIPMENT. No bright lights.
All campers should return to their site by 10:00PM, and daily visitors/guests are required to leave at this time.
The quality of rest and relaxation is important to all campers, so please refrain from loud noises and disturbances during this period.
All radios and TVs must be at minimum volume settings, and be aware that normal speaking voices carry.
VISITORS:
Facilities in this park are for use by registered guests only.
Visitors are required to register at the office before entering the park. Visitor's fees will apply.
There can be no more than 8 people (maximum of 4 adults) registered to one site at any given time.
All visitors must leave the park by 10:00PM, unless registered as an overnight guest. Please register overnight guests by 6:00PM in the office. Registered campers are responsible for ensuring their visitors have properly registered in the office, and that all campground rules are obeyed.
All day visitors must depart the campground by 10:00 p.m.
Must park in designated area and depart the campground by established quiet hours.
No guest pets allowed please.
FIRES:
Must be confined to fireplaces and fire rings, and never left unattended.
ABSOLUTELY NO BURNING OF GARBAGE OF ANY KIND. Fire rings must not be used to dispose of cans, bottles, or other household trash.
Put out your fire before leaving your campsite. All fires must be extinguished by midnight.
Campfires must be kept knee-high or below, and not left unattended.
No cutting of trees/firewood is allowed in the campground or adjoining properties. You may use fallen sticks or branches as kindling, but please do not cut or break them from trees or shrubs.
SINK (GREY) WATER:
The discharge of grey water into the environment has been found to be a significant risk to public health. Grey water can have a population of bacteria approaching or exceeding the populations of black water. Health Department regulations do not permit draining sink water on the ground or into open containers. If your site has septic service, connect your wastewater outlets to the sewer pipe, and ensure that the connections are tight and do not leak. Please contact the office if you are unsure of how to perform this connection. Grey water is sometimes discharged into portable blue tanks. The contents of the blue tank must be discharged into the dump station.
BEACH / LAKE WARNING!
There is no lifeguard on duty and absolutely NO DIVING!
Beach hours are dawn to dusk.
There is no swimming after sunset.
All swimming is at your own risk.
No children under 12 years old are allowed in the lake or watercraft without adult supervision. If in watercraft, they MUST have on a life-jacket. You must bring your own life-jackets.
Lake rules must be observed at all times.
Absolutely no smoking or pets on the beach.
Toddlers in diapers must wear swim pants (available in the camp store for a nominal fee) lake.
BOATING:
Rowboats, canoes, kayaks and tubes may be available for your convenience and pleasure. You must bring your own paddles and life-jackets.
An adult must accompany children under 12.
Life jackets are required and you must bring your own.
All equipment is subject to a security deposit.
BATHHOUSE:
To avoid accidents and injuries, an adult should accompany children under the age of 6 years old to the bathhouse.
We take pride in the cleanliness of our facilities and we would appreciate your help in maintaining them.
The bathhouse is closed daily from 10:30AM-11:00AM for cleaning and sanitation. Please be out of the bathhouse during these times.
Guests are welcome to use the washer and dryer by first paying a fee of $1 per load fee at the camp office.
ALCOHOL:
This is a privately-owned family farm. NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ALLOWED except with the following exception: You may enjoy one or two beers ONLY around your campfire in the evening. Guests exceeding this allowance will be asked to leave the farm without refund or remedy.
We DO NOT tolerate drunkenness or intoxication.
Disorderly guests will be asked to leave the park and will not be issued a refund.
If disorderly guests are intoxicated, the local sheriff will be contacted to assist in transporting said guest from the premises.
DO NOT put cans or bottles in fire pits.
ABSOLUTELY NO ALCOHOL allowed anywhere except as described above.
SMOKING:
Absolutely no smoking in cabins, on or near the beach area, common areas, in or near the bath house.
If you are renting a cabin and it smells of cigarette smoke upon your departure, you will be charged a cleaning fee of $50.
DO NOT throw butts in the lake or on the ground. Wait until cooled and dispose of in proper trash receptacles. DO NOT throw butts in grills or fire pits.
PRIVACY:
Please respect the privacy of other campers and the owners by not walking thru or between occupied sites, or through the yard of the private house. Please use designated roadways and pathways when walking thru the park.
